Dr. Blaine Carpenter is based in Austin, Texas. Blaine has led school improvement efforts at the state, district, and campus levels, though he is still a 1st grade teacher at heart. In addition to his work with FourPoint Education Partners, Blaine is currently adjunct faculty in the College of Education at Texas State University. He is also a Leadership Facilitator at the Holdsworth Center – a leadership academy focused on improving the quality and equity of public schools for Texas students. Blaine is a veteran of the US Army Reserve, having received recognition for honorable service.
Blaine helped implement the Texas Title I Priority Schools grant while serving at Region 13’s Education Service Center. He has led over a dozen districts across Texas in adopting long-range strategic plans through a process of stakeholder-driven dialogues. In addition, Blaine served as the Coordinator of School Redesign in San Marcos Consolidated School District, responsible for managing the Additional Days School Year grant and supporting the design and implementation of the School Action Fund grant – both funded by the Texas Education Agency.
