Who We Are / Our Team

Christian Martinez

Christian Martinez is a community innovator originally from Michoacan, Mexico. In 1999, his family made the decision to migrate to Oakland, California in pursuit of a better life. Growing up in East Oakland, Christian witnessed firsthand the social and educational inequalities in his community, which inspired him to become an educator and empower individuals and communities. Through his work at FourPoint and elsewhere, Christian aims to inspire and uplift those around him.

In 2017, Christian co-founded Latitude High & Noxhegalactica, two organizations aimed at fostering community growth and development. These projects were driven by the belief that it is crucial to amplify the voices of community members who often bear the brunt of societal challenges. Throughout Christian’s career, he has actively sought collaborations with non-profit organizations and universities across the nation. These partnerships have allowed for expanded reach to create meaningful change. Christian is deeply committed to his role as a community innovator. He strives to bring about positive transformations in the lives of those around him. By centering community voices and collaborating with diverse entities, Christian believes we can create a more equitable and inclusive society.
