Christian Martinez is a community innovator originally from Michoacan, Mexico. In 1999, his family made the decision to migrate to Oakland, California in pursuit of a better life. Growing up in East Oakland, Christian witnessed firsthand the social and educational inequalities in his community, which inspired him to become an educator and empower individuals and communities. In 2017, Christian co-founded Latitude High & Noxhegalactica, two organizations aimed at fostering community growth and development. These partnerships have allowed for expanded reach to create meaningful change. Christian is deeply committed to his role as a community innovator.
