Mike B. Roemer is an award-winning educator, successfully leading the development of Ronald Reagan International Baccalaureate High School into one of America’s Most Challenging High Schools, as featured by U.S. News and World Report and the Washington Post from 2012-18. With deep experience and expertise in college, career, and life readiness (CCLR), Mike leads a team of exemplary educators serving 1,300 urban teens from around Wisconsin’s Greater Milwaukee area. Mike’s deep conviction that all students require and deserve academic success to achieve post-secondary readiness has been realized in multiple student-focused initiatives, including a Personalized Blended Learning lab and, as the only high school in the state to offer all three International Baccalaureate programs for 9th- 12th grade students, fidelity in inclusion and implementation (Middle Years, Career-Related, and Diploma Programmes). Mike, a 2015 Fulbright Scholar, recently served as state coordinator for the National Association of Secondary School Principals and participated in the White House Summit on Next Generation High Schools.
