Natalie Nielsen is an experienced education and youth development researcher and program evaluator with a strong interest in working toward equitable opportunities and outcomes for young people. Her expertise includes K-12 education reform and policy, STEM education, and community efforts to improve youth outcomes.
Natalie previously served in multiple leadership roles at the National Academy of Sciences, was the director of research at the Business-Higher Education Forum and a senior researcher at SRI International. Her responsibilities in these organizations included research and analysis, program evaluation, project management, and grant writing. In those roles, she also helped to forge partnerships between business, K-12, and postsecondary institutions in Louisville, Kentucky, and studied partnerships between K-12 and various intermediary organizations involved with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Early College High School Initiative.
