Sam Neustadt is an active Education Consultant working with public schools and private sector clients to improve the quality and equity of education for all students, and students with disabilities in particular. His current focus is on executive leadership coaching and systemic support and development. Sam’s clients include public school districts, charter schools, county offices of education, and Special Education Local Plan Areas (SELPSa), in addition to select related private sector clients. He is based in Northern California.
Sam’s background includes a variety of education teaching and leadership positions including ten years as a school principal, an appointment as a Visiting Educator/Administrator to the California Department of Education, and seventeen years as Assistant Superintendent-SELPA at the Solano County Office of Education.He was also appointed to the California Statewide Special Education Task Force, where he chaired the sub-committee on Early Learning. He served the State SELPA Association as Finance Committee co-chairperson, and twelve years as Legislative Committee co-chairperson. His breath of experience includes an intersection of policy and practice including, governance, finance, systems change facilitation, and alternative dispute resolution. He has been recognized for excellence by his peers as a teacher, principal, and regional administrator. Sam is passionate about supporting the leadership capacity of those who are passionate about equitable outcomes for students across the public education spectrum.
