Samantha Kaplan

Samantha Kaplan is an associate with FourPoint Education Partners, where she works with a variety of teams to support public schools, community-based organizations, and youth-serving nonprofits. A recent graduate of George Washington University, she earned her Master of Arts, Education & Human Development in Education Policy. Prior to joining the team at FourPoint Education, she created curricular support materials and provided tutoring services to students in McLean, Virginia. She additionally assisted with the school board campaign of Scott Joftus, which imparted valuable insight into the politics of Montgomery County, Maryland.

Prior to moving to D.C., Samantha was a teacher in Solon, Iowa for four years. She taught all middle school grades and all core subjects throughout that time, leading her to develop a well-rounded and collaborative approach to teaching and learning. Additionally, Samantha served as a representative for the teacher’s union and as an instructor for teachers to implement trauma-informed strategies in their classrooms.  She is committed to ensuring that engaging and authentic educational experiences and appropriate mental health resources are available for all students.
