Silvina Rubinstein is a certified leadership coach who works with incoming administrators to help them implement their vision and to lead them to their highest potential as effective educational leaders, strengthening their community-building skills and developing into authentic agents of change. Silvina was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she started her career in education before moving to California in 1976. Her 38 years in education include teacher, resource teacher, bilingual coordinator, principal, state and federal programs director, adult education administrator, and Title III Consultant.
Silvina supported districts and schools in monitoring program implementation for all students, including English learners, implementation of Thinking Maps, student engagement strategies, Common Core, and program design, and developed a monitoring implementation tool with a focus on implementation of instructional strategies for English language learners.
Silvina also taught educational courses for the teacher education program at California State University, Los Angeles, for more than a decade. She is bilingual (English/Spanish). As executive director of the California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) she provided leadership in the areas of professional development, parental involvement, and policy for English language learners.
