For more than 15 years, FourPoint Associate Stephanie Amponsah has led organizations and initiatives committed to improving the lives of young people in Baltimore and beyond, with strong expertise in facilitating high-quality career readiness experiences. Her career reflects an unbroken focus on mission, energized by her entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated ability to identify innovative ways to create economic and social opportunity for youth. For nearly three years, she has served as the Vice President of Dream BIG Baltimore. The organization works with a community mandate to coordinate, fund, and deliver best-practice, place-based pre-K through young adult learning that enables under-resourced young people to choose with dignity their own path to healthy, happy lives.
Stephanie’s experience in human services and nonprofit management includes roles as executive director, program director, social worker, and social entrepreneur in organizations that empower under-resourced youth. During her nine-year tenure as the Executive Director of Urban Alliance, she led corporate and community partnership development, fundraising, business development, project management, regional teams, and daily operations. She began her career as a professional social worker serving homeless and foster youth, first with American Children’s Home, then with Echelon Community Services.
Stephanie earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations and Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Organizations from High Point University. She holds a Master of Education in School Counseling from Loyola University Maryland. Stephanie is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., an alumna of the GBC LEADership Baltimore, and recipient of The Daily Record 2016 Leading Women Award.
